The KUCHLY company performs sheet metal cutting for its clients up to 6 mm in thickness on initially flat or revolution parts. We have the ability to simultaneously perform sheet metal cutting and stamping of metals in the same tools or sheet metal cutting and custom bending, which allows for combining operation types and thus reducing the production cost of parts.
Punches and form dies are necessary for the metal cutting operation. These two elements slide into each other, their respective cutting edges, the operating and cutting clearance that we adapt according to the thickness and type of sheet metal to be cut, allow us to obtain, in one strike, the desired shape on one side and the detached sheet metal elements called flanges or blanks on the other. These cutting techniques significantly reduce the production time of the part compared to laser cutting.
The cut-between-two method involves cutting flat parts with custom tooling, while maintaining flexibility regarding the desired part length from one production run to another. We can provide several sheet metal cutting configurations in the tool by adding or removing punches and also by varying the length introduced into the tool by our automatic feeds.
Stepped sheet metal cutting allows for successive multiple cuts, both interior and exterior, without moving the strip. This enables us to significantly reduce cutting tolerances to a few hundredths. To achieve this, we use the press stroke to stage cutting operations at different levels.
The partial sheet metal cutting method involves performing a partial sheet metal cutting where part of the shape’s periphery is cut and the other part remains attached. This cutting technique allows for folding the material without complete detachment, such as creating tabs or notches.
